|
Representing the St. Charles Community, the council has the primary responsibility for assisting the pastor in discerning needs and developing policies to fulfill the mission of the parish.
The council is composed of nine elected representatives in addition to the president of the board of education, chair of the finance committee, and chair of the facility committee.
Three officers---president, vice
president, and secretary---are elected to
lead the council. An executive committee of
these three officers and the pastor prepare
the agenda for each meeting and provide
special assistance as required on parish
business. Any registered member of the
parish who is 18 years of age or older may
run for election for a three-year term on
the council.
Meeting Times
The council meets
at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the
Adult Education Room in the Parish Center unless
otherwise announced in the church bulletin. Parishioners
and other visitors are welcome to attend and address the
council.
