The St. Charles Peace and Justice Committee studies Church teaching on social justice and peace issues, shares its findings, and invites participation of all parish members.
For many years, the peace and justice communities of the three Catholic parishes in Bloomington have worked together to increase the effectiveness of individual parish efforts and to promote inter-parish communications and partnerships.
St. Charles also belongs to the Bread for the World international organization, which seeks to inform communities about hunger-related problems and fosters Christian response and legislation for long-term solutions.
The St. Charles committee meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of every other month in the Conference Room of the Parish Hall on dates announced in the church bulletin.
The Tri-Parish committee meets quarterly and rotates
its meetings at each parish, either after a Sunday Mass
or at 7 p.m. Monday.
