The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) restores the ancient practice of initiation into the church. It is a process where adults discern a call to the life of faith as it is lived out in our Church. They enter into a commitment of formation and education and formal rituals, which lead them on a journey to the Easter Vigil, where they receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
The RCIA is one rite with a series of stages that acknowledge the growing dimension of faith and understanding of the participants. It is a call for the entire community to recognize its identity, respect its heritage, and renew its commitment to the creed that marks our belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, alive in our Church and in our individual hearts and minds.
The RCIA meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00
in the Parish Hall. The process begins anew each
September and continues into the Spring of the following
year. Participants need to be registered from the
beginning sessions in order to participate.
