    Fundraising at St. Charles

Fundraising is a fact of life in Catholic schools and a special way of building community. Families are asked to assume an active role in fundraisers. Our fundraisers include the Family Fun Day, Spring Gala, Campbell's and General Mills Box Tops for Education promotions. We continue to look for fundraising activities that are not a burden to our families and students.

Highlighted on this page are our major fund-raisers. Throughout the course of the year other projects may be undertaken by the school as a whole or by individual classes to meet specific needs. Your support is always greatly appreciated.

    Family Fun Day

The Family Fun Day has two goals: to raise funds for the PTO budget and to host an event that can be enjoyed by the entire family, especially the children.

The variety of arts and crafts booths, children's activities, food, and live stage entertainment attract many people each year. The book sale, bake sale, and Haunted House are also featured.

    Spring Gala

Each year the look may be a little bit different but the purpose is always the same: to break out of the late winter/early spring doldrums and have fun while benefiting our school. This event includes both a Silent and Live auction, games of chance, raffles, dinner and dancing.

    Octoberfest

First held in 1996, this event provides an opportunity for the adults of our community to fun-raise and fund-raise. Entertainment, food, and games of chance are featured throughout the evening.

    Kroger Cares Card

This program gives a percentage of sales to the school.  More info to come.

    Marsh Fresh Idea

This program allows the school to earn awards points related to the amount spent shopping at both Marsh and O'Malia grocery stores. Each time your cash saving card is scanned the school receives points. You can register both cards at the www.marsh.net web site. As you register, you will need to enter the school's number: 29120. You will be asked to enter the 14 digit number on your Marsh or O'Malia cash saving card. You do not need to re-register each year. Alternatively, there are forms at school that can be used to record this information and the school's coordinator can enter the numbers for you. Ask friends, neighbors and relatives to also sign up to help St. Charles School.

    Labels for Education

UPCs from a variety of Campbell's, Bic, Post cereal and PopSecret popcorn products add up to provide brand new educational equipment for our school. You may send the UPCs to school with your children or drop them off in the school office. More information can be viewed at the labelsforeducation.com web site. Use the FIND YOUR SCHOOL option to see a teacher wish list and comments from the school's coordinator. Have friends, neighbors and relatives save the UPCs too.

    Box Tops for Education

General Mills and Betty Crocker boxtops with the label 'Boxtops for Education' serve as a fund-raiser for our Media Center and Computer Lab. Boxtops can be sent in with your child or dropped off in the Media Center or school office.

    Book Fairs

Two Scholastic Book Fairs are held each year, one in October and the second in April. Books are reasonably priced and all proceeds benefit the Media Center.
