Online Textbook and Resources
In order to get to your online textbook, study guides, and tutorials go to www.pearsonsuccess.net and type in your login and password (each student was given at the beginning of the school year and they keep in the front of their math notebook).
In each section of my website you will find a schedule for the chapter/unit that we are working on in class. You will see the date, what we will be working on in class, comments that need to be read ahead of time for they give you suggestions as to what to bring into class, and daily homework assignments. I also have any quiz or test that is scheduled on the calendar as well as the graded assignments. Below is how is the criteria for my homework:
Homework Assignments: You will have homework every night. You must complete all homework and SHOW YOUR WORK. All homework must be done in pencil and have the correct heading in order to be graded. You will have TWO types of homework assignments:
1. Daily homework assignments: this will include approximately 15 to 30 problems. At the beginning of class I will come around and check for completion of homework. We will then check the assignment, bring a red pen to class to check your own homework each day. I DO NOT ACCEPT LATE DAILY HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS.
2. Weekly Graded assignments: each week students will have 15 to 30 questions that will be due each Monday and graded on accuracy. This is individual work; all work must be shown and done in pencil. You have an opportunity to get your assignment checked early as long as you turn into appropriate folder no later than the Thursday before the assignment is due. LATE GRADED ASSIGNMENTS WILL DROP A LETTER GRADE FOR EACH DAY IT IS LATE.
